Privacy Policy

Who we are

Our website address is “https://thestrengthguide.com”. The legal entity responsible for this site is “Sandum Import og Tjenesteytelser” with Norwegian VAT number 913 956 168 MVA.

Cookies

The anti-spam check on our newsletter and contact pages may set a strictly necessary cookie in order to work. It contains no personal data and is not used to recognise you on other websites.

We only set strictly necessary cookies that are needed for the proper functioning of this website. We do not set marketing or tracking cookies. This is why it is not possible to reject cookies when browsing our website. If you don’t want any cookies at all, you can refrain from using our website.

Tracking and analytics

We use a GDPR-compliant and privacy-focused tracking system called Fathom Analytics. Your data is 100% anonymous and aggregated, and there are no cookies set to enable tracking. You can read more about this by clicking here.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Who we share your data with

If you subscribe to our newsletter or send us a message through our contact form, we have to share the data you submit to be able to process your request. We run our own newsletter system on our own servers. Our servers are hosted in Norway behind one of the strictest privacy laws in the world. Our provider is JCloud, and you can read their privacy policy and data processing agreement by clicking here.

Our newsletter signup and contact form are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, a check that tells us whether a submission comes from a person or from an automated script. The check runs in your browser when the page loads, and Cloudflare, Inc. receives your IP address and technical characteristics of your browser in order to perform it. The data you submit, such as your email address or the message you write, is not sent to Cloudflare. Turnstile sets no advertising cookies, uses no persistent identifier to follow you between websites, and is not used for analytics or profiling. You can read Cloudflare's privacy policy by clicking here.

When you subscribe to our newsletter, your email address is stored in our database. Your email address is never shared with third parties for any reason. If you choose to unsubscribe from our newsletter, your email and all associated data are immediately deleted from our servers. We don’t keep a list of unsubscribed contacts.

How long we retain your data

Your email is retained for however long you want to be subscribed to our newsletter. Your email is deleted when you unsubscribe. You can unsubscribe through a link at the bottom of any newsletter you have received from us. You can also unsubscribe by contacting us.

What rights you have over your data

You have the right to know what data we hold on you and where that data is held. You also have the right to get a human-readable copy of your data. In addition, you have the right to have your data deleted in its entirety. This is only true when there are no legal reasons that weigh heavier in favor of us holding on to your data, like laws of bookkeeping. You can exercise your rights by contacting us.

Where we send your data

Your data is sent to our server provider JCloud, whose data center is in Norway. There is one exception: the anti-spam check described above is performed by Cloudflare, Inc., which processes it outside the EEA. That check receives your IP address and your browser's technical characteristics; the data you actually submit stays with us in Norway. Cloudflare processes this under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
